Parents and Students--
With the incoming forecast predicting potentially poor weather, please be mindful of any school announcements regarding NTI and snow days. Note that NTI denotes a Non-Traditional Instruction day, which means that the students are required to complete work in order for the day to count towards our instructional day count. There will be no work due in the case of a traditional snow day. All students should check in with their teacher's Google Classrooms and complete any assignments given by teachers in the event of NTI in order to have their attendance count. Thank you!

Hello, FSHS Families!
As we round out the first month of school, we wanted to let you know about some opportunities available to help your child be more successful in the classroom this year! First is our daily Flex period. During this time, students actively monitor and track their missing assignments and low grades, set goals to improve, and are taught to request help and be responsible for their work. We encourage you to discuss the use of this time with your child. Check in with them on their missing assignments, and ask them about how they're planning to make use of Flex for their advantage each week.
Next, we have officially begun our Homework Help services after school Monday-Thursday. This time (3:15-4:15) can be used to receive extra help/tutoring, provide a quiet space to get homework done, or redo/makeup missing assignments. At Homework Help, teachers are available to meet one-on-one with students to help them get the kind of assistance they may not be able to get in the day-to-day exchanges in the classroom.
We are committed to giving your children every opportunity to be successful this year! Have a great evening.
