This year, Family Resource Youth Services Centers across the state are being recognized the week of February 8-12. FRYSC Day in Kentucky is Wednesday, February 10. To celebrate, FRYSCs across the state are asking that you display a picture of the attached “We Love Our FRYSC” logo that week in the window of your business, organization, church, home, etc. and also post pictures to Facebook using the hashtag #FRYSCStrong to recognize the dedication that these centers provide for our students and families every day.

SES Reopening Info Updated 2021
Hello SES Families, Here are a few reminders before the Thanksgiving holiday. SES online Newsletter can be found at https://sites.google.com/simpson.kyschools.us/simpsonelementary/home Fundraiser Pick Up Fall Fundraiser pickup will take place on Monday November 30th at the SES Gym from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. *Please bring a photo ID with you. *We ask that everyone continues to wear a mask, practice social distancing and make this event safe for all those that participate. Back to Virtual Learning We understand the difficulties that come with a quick turnaround for our families, going from hybrid to 100% virtual learning. SES wants to help you make the most of this time. *Checking student progress in Schoology is very important for their academic success. Have your child log into their schoology page and click on grades to see how they are progressing on their assignments. *Keep a daily schedule to help stay on track. *Attend Google/Zoom meetings located on their schoology page. *If you are having any issues with assignments don’t hesitate to contact your child's teachers or the front office. *Small group instruction is available to help with evaluations, counseling, therapies, tutoring and remediation. Please contact your child's teacher to set up an appointment for a small group session. Possibility of returning to hybrid instruction: Districts will look at the map on Thursday, Dec. 3, to determine if elementary schools would resume in person instruction on Dec. 7. Look at the map on Thursday to see if your county is red. If you are red, you stay virtual the next week. If you are not red you can resume face-to-face instruction. *More information will be made available to families in the near future. Book Fair at SES December 7-11 (in the gym to maximize social distancing): Safety First: The safety and well-being of your child is our priority. Simpson County Schools Food Service and Transportation Departments will be delivering meals during this virtual learning time. Per federal guidelines, we can only deliver meals to enrolled students of Simpson County. Each enrolled student will receive a breakfast and lunch. If you would like meals delivered Monday through Friday, you will need to sign up. We will need the name of each enrolled student and the address of where meals should to be delivered to. You can sign up during the Chromebook distribution that is happening at each school Thursday and Friday. Meal delivery time will be between 11:30am-1:00pm. After the first few days, you will have a good idea of when you will receive your delivery. We ask that you place a container by your mailbox so that meals can be placed while we adhere to social distance guidelines. If you have any questions please call Central Office at 270-586-8877.
