July 2012 - LES Student receives "The Right Stuff Award"

Lincoln Elementary School student Colin Grimes recently attended Space Camp at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Colin received the camp’s highest and most coveted award – The Right Stuff Award--given to an outstanding trainee who goes above and beyond in leadership, teamwork, and technology throughout the week. Colin and his robotics team, Astro Tech, received the Best Overall Robotics Award.

 


SES-LES Academic Team took 1st place at the district Governor’s Cup

March 2013:  The Simpson-Lincoln Academic Team took first place at the district Governor’s Cup competition on Saturday, March 2nd at R.E. Stevenson Elementary School in Russellville! Helping the team score a total of 43.5 points were the following students:

English Composition

4th place – Caelan Robey, Brooke Sanders, Ben Hall, Lilly Spears, Colin Grimes, Haley Smith, Ashlynn Flippin, Ashlyn Stinson, Carly Bush, Vidhi Parekh and Makinna Peterson

 

The FPS team and individuals placing in their written assessments will advance to the regional competition on March 23rd at North Butler Elementary School!  Wish them well!

The team is coached by Marschelle Sekora, Sara Tucker, Megan Marcum, Sheteka Winston, Debbie Richey and Tiffany Barnes.


March 2013 - Academic Team wins Regional Competition

For the third year in a row, the Simpson-Lincoln Academic Team placed 1st overall out of 14 schools at its regional competition on Saturday, March 23, 2012 hosted by North Butler Elementary School. 

The Future Problem Solving Team placed 2nd and included team members: Evan McNaughton, Bryson Hackney, Natalie McAbee, Madie Hall, and Anthony Wessel
