I have been a teacher at Franklin-Simpson High School since the 2008-2009 school year. Before I began my career in education, I attended Western Kentucky University and graduated with Bachelors' of Science degrees in Chemistry and Biology in 2006. In 2009, I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Master of Arts in Education and received my Kentucky teaching certificate. During this time, I taught Chemistry labs at Western Kentucky University and worked as an Instructional Assistant for special education in the Bowling Green City School System. In the summer of 2017, I started back to Western Kentucky University to earn a Master of Science in Chemistry.
While at FSHS, I have taught Integrated Science, Chemistry, Pre-AP Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and Dual Credit Chemistry (CHEM105/6, CHEM 107/8) through Western Kentucky University. In 2011, I became the department chair for the Science department. I have been the buliding administrator for ACT since 2011. I was Assistant Coach (12-13) and Head Coach of the Academic Team (13-17.) I have also served on the SBDM council (11-13, 14-15).
