A Little About Me...

Franklin is my home and always has been. I graduated from Franklin-Simpson High School in 1998. I feel great pride for Franklin and our excellent school system! I was honored to begin my teaching career in January of 2002 at Franklin Elementary teaching kindergarten. After teaching there four and a half years, I felt like it was time for a change. Ever since, I have been happily teaching fourth and fifth graders science, math, and written expression at Lincoln Elementary School. Regardless of the school, Simpson County schools and the faculty and staff exhibit teamwork and genuine concern for our students. I am fortunate to work in my hometown!

My Family...

My husband, Josh, is also a Franklin-Simpson High School alumni. We graduated the same year! He also attended Western Kentucky University, and he is the curriculum coordinator at Franklin-Simpson Middle School. He played football in high school, and he continues to be actively involved in Franklin's football program. We have one dog, Hunter. He is a twelve year old yellow labrador retreiver, and he keeps us on our toes! We also have a new addition to our family, our daughter, Rebekah! My students always look forward to hearing stories about Hunter and Rebekah and their latest adventures!

Hobbies/Interests...

When I have spare time, I LOVE to read, cook, and spend time with friends, family, and Hunter! I collect clear sandwich glass antiques, cookbooks, and anything with yellow labradors!
