I am very excited to be your child's school counselor this year! I am the counselor to all seniors (Class of 2019) and sophomores (Class of 2021). I am a native of Simpson County (GO WILDCATS!) and reside here with my husband, Bryan and two sons.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me! I am looking forward to working with your child this year!!!
A smidge about me...
I received my degree in Art Education from Western Kentucky University in May of 2005, with a minor in Art History. My first job was in Warren County, where I was an itinerant art teacher at Lost River Elementary, Rockfield Elementary, and Richardsville Elementary. Although teaching preschool through sixth grade at three different schools was a challenge, it was a wonderful opportunity. The next year I was hired at Lincoln Elementary as the art teacher. During this time, I received my Master's Degree in School Counseling from WKU, and continued on to receive my Rank I in School Counseling as well. This will be my eigth year as school counselor, but my first year at FSHS.
Bryan and I were lucky enough to have Harlan and Corbyn and our world changed for the better. Our family time is spent allowing them to explore everything around them. In my spare time (what's that now?!?), I love to organize things. I also enjoy reading, taking pictures, shopping (I love shoes!), and spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I love to travel and go to concerts when we get a chance.
