My name is Sharon Schwab Smith. I am a kindergarten teacher at Franklin Elementary School. I have been teaching for 30 years and love what I do. I was born and raised in Franklin and even attended Franklin Elementary when I was young. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Larry Smith Big Larry) and have two children (Mason Smith and Anna Smith) who are both attending college.
I love teaching and spend numerous hours working on school work and take my job very seriously. I am a firm believer that education is very important and that it takes parents, teachers and students working together to get the best education as possible. I set high goals for all of the students that I teach, but try to make learning fun and meaningful. I love for parents and visitors to come into my classroom to observe and see what the students are learning. Children are like sponges and can learn so much when given the opportunity. My class motto is: "The more that you read, the smarter that you will be." This motto holds true. I encourage all of the parent's of my students to read to their children daily. You will never regret this important time.
Please come in and visit our classroom because you will be amazed at what your children are learning. The students are trying to be smarter than high schoolers.
