     Helpful Hints

Reading is a fundamental part of life. We use it in everything we do. Have your child become mindful of this. Have them read signs as you drive. Maybe have them read some of the menu while you are at a restaurant. They can read the labels titles at the grocery story. Make a game of it and use the rules of I Spy to read every day print media. Look at this article for additional hints to help your child read, Beginning Reading Instruction: Practical Ideas for Parents http://ritter.tea.state.tx.us/reading/products/praidepar.pdf.

I will provide it on my website as a direct link. Remember, you can inspire your child to love reading.

Don’t forget to collect your box tops off of General Mills and Betty Crocker products. Look for the picture above on the tops or bottoms of your cereal, cakes, cookies, etc.
