The mission of the members of the homeroom writing class is to work together as a team to grow and learn as writers so that we will be prepared for writing informative and explanatory texts in the future.
By the end of the school year, 100% of the 5th grade homeroom writing students will improve by at least one performance level in three of the four criteria on their informative and explanatory writing practices and Benchmark Assessments as measured by the Kentucky Scoring Rubric for On-Demand Writing which we will take each quarter of the school year and score proficient or higher on the K-PREP assessment we will take in May.
