Units covered in language arts this year will focus on improving reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Students will read a variety of texts, such as short stories, novellas, plays, poetry, narratives, informative pieces, as well as argumentative selections. We will also practice reading strategies throughout the year, so students will have confidence tackling the reading passages on the K-PREP. Not only will students be busy reading various genres this year, but they will also be incorporating writing into our weekly assignments.
