COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Simpson County Schools, Wildcat Kung Fu held their graduation May 9^th at Simpson Elementary School.  Wildcat Kung Fu is sponsored through Community Education. Sifu Steven O’Nan instructs students ages 6-18 every Tuesday and Thursday during the school year. Nineteen students were present to test for their next level sash. In order to receive their next level sash the students not only had to perform their kung fu form but also complete the physical fitness challenge. The fitness challenge required each of the students to complete 500 pushups, 500 crunches, 500 front kicks, 500 sidekicks, 500 round kicks, 100 repetitions of their form, and 100 repetitions of the headlock release over the course of 5 weeks.
