The Walking Story

Opens Saturday, May 19, 9:45AM

At Franklin Simpson Community Park

Project Back Story- Simpson County 4-H member Katelyn Hollingsworth has received the Kentucky 4-H Gold Honor and is in the process of completing a community service project to receive a John Swack 4-H Scholarship.  Katie’s project is a Walking Story located in the Franklin-Simpson Community Park.

The Walking Story includes podiums installed in the park that tell a story as families walk & read together. Please join Katie for a Ribbon Cutting of The Walking Story at 9:45 a.m. this Saturday, May 19 at the park.  Make plans to walk along and read “Oh the Things You Can Do That Are Good for You” by Dr. Seuss after the ribbon cutting.

Lunch is provided for $5.00/person

FREE BOOKS FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 5 WHO LIVE IN SIMPSON COUNTY.

All children in Simpson County under the age of 5 can receive a free book from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. It's simple to complete the application posted in the right column return it to the school district and your child will start to receiving books in 6-8 weeks.
