After a thorough search and selection process, the Franklin-Simpson Middle School Site-Based Decision-Making (SBDM) Council has chosen Mr. Jaxon Grover as the new principal at FSMS. Mr. Grover is currently an Assistant Principal at Franklin-Simpson High School, where he has served in this capacity for the last 6 years. Prior to this, he has served as our CTE Coordinator, CIA Specialist, and a high school math teacher. He and his wife, Gretchen, reside in Franklin with their three children, Jasmine, Jayden, and Jordyn.
“Mr. Grover rose to the top among an outstanding group of candidates,” said Superintendent Dr. Jim Flynn. “Having spent his professional career with us here in Simpson County Schools, he knows our students, staff and community and what it means to be a Wildcat. He is an honest, hardworking, and forward-thinking leader who always keeps the best interests of students at the center of every decision. We look forward to him starting his new role in early July.”
Mr. Grover is excited to be the new principal of Franklin-Simpson Middle School. He says, “I feel well-prepared for this role and I’m looking forward to the challenge. FSMS has a strong faculty, staff, and student body. I welcome the opportunity to work with them to take FSMS to the top!”
The FSMS SBDM Council went through hours of training and preparation, in addition to time reviewing applications, checking references, and conducting interviews. Superintendent Flynn praised the work of the FSMS SBDM Council Members for their serious and thoughtful approach throughout the process.
The school and district plan to host a “meet-and-greet” event to introduce Mr. Grover to the community later in July.
