Transcript Request

The Kentucky Department of Education has implemented an electronic transcript initiative to streamline the request and transfer process of high school transcripts. Students and alumni of Franklin-Simpson High School and Learning Opportunities Center will be able to send electronic transcripts to Kentucky colleges and universities, as well as many out of state schools. Kentucky’s eTranscript is provided free to current high school students. There is a nominal fee for students to send transcripts to non-participating colleges, universities, worksites and for alumni requests.  Students and alumni will be able to sign up and create an account using the secure website, http://www.parchment.com. Features and benefits of Kentucky’s eTranscipt include:

  • convenient online access available 24/7
  • touch-free, complete automation from student request to delivery
  • tracking of student’s transcript request
  • integration with the Kentucky Student Information System for seamless implementation and processing
  • secure and FERPA-compliant data transfer
  • reporting metrics and analytic insight for educators and administrators
  • statewide adoption of a standard transcript format for further enhancement of the transcript process

Simpson County Schools will implement this online process beginning December 2, 2013. All transcript requests will be made through www.parchment.com. For those who have limited access to computer and internet you may visit the Goodnight Memorial Library or Simpson County Schools Central Office.
